Every House Has Some Rules – These Are Mine
Editorial Content
Copyrights: The content published on this site is and remains under the copyright of Deb Messina, OneMark Creations.
Linking, references and trackbacks to my content: I welcome links to this site and to any of the content I have posted here. This includes posting up to 200 words of any post without my express and written permission as long as you include a link back to the original post.
Linking, references and trackback to content created by others: I frequently reference the work of other bloggers, site owners, food sites, chefs, home cooks and authors. In every case – I write my own understanding of their content and what I learned from it – and I provide a direct link back to their original material so you can reference it in the same way I did. There are smart, helpful people everywhere – I view this site as a great way to bring them together so that we can all learn from each other – and give credit where credit is due.
Guest Posts: Occasionally I provide an opportunity for someone else to write a guest post. While their content and scope will fit the theme of this site, their words, opinions and experiences remain their own. This is another way that I can continue my own learning and at the same time – share this information with you.
Comments & Community Guidelines
Your comments are a reflection of you: Please take a moment to read your comment before you push the “send” button. Check to make sure that what you have said is well thought out, phrased in an easy to understand manner and spelled correctly. Once published – your words can take on a life of their own online.
Contribute to the conversation: Comments that contribute to the conversation, make additional points not included in the article and are positive in nature are encouraged. Please feel free to ask follow up questions or to disagree with me on any point I have made. This is a learning platform for me as much as it is for anyone else and if you have good stuff to share – I’d love to learn from you.
Links to your own site: If you have a great recipe to share, food related business or cookbook to recommend – please feel free to include a link to the information / site along with your useful comment. This does not mean that your comment and link should be nothing more than an advertisement for your own business. Contribute useful information and readers will click on your site’s link because they are interested in what you have to say.
Negativity, rudeness and spam are not tolerated: This site is designed to be a positive, constructive and useful community. Comments from objectionable sites, or links to such web addresses will be immediately marked as spam and blocked from the site. Comments that contribute nothing to the conversation and are designed only to link back to some other site without adding anything of value here – will be deleted. Comments that are disrespectful of another commenter or their point of view – will be deleted immediately. There are plenty of sites on the Internet that will tolerate these types of comments – this site is not one of them.
Disclaimers – I thought you should know
Advertising on this site: My goal for this site is to be a real source of resources for the home cook. One of the best ways to do that – in addition to providing lots of relevant, useful content – is to showcase the incredible range of information and service providers available to the home cook. I have carefully targeted the advertising portions of this site to display advertisers that are directly related to the needs of a home cook. I may or may not benefit from your purchase if you decide to buy any publication or service featured on my site. I include this information because I find it helpful to provide as may resource options as possible and this is an easy way for me to do it.
Book Reviews: Any book I choose to review is a book or other publication that I have purchased myself, with my own money as a reference to use in my own kitchen. If I have found the book helpful and worth sharing with you – I will write a review (and include a link to that book on Amazon – or wherever else that publication may be available if not on Amazon). I share the information about any publication I review because I found it helpful – if I did not, you won’t find a review for it on my site.
Policy Updates
These policies are reviewed periodically and may be revised without notice from time to time.
With all that being said – enjoy the site and a cup of your favorite tea.
